What's better than an employee benefit? An employee benefit that benefits society and future generations too.
Civic education for students, community members, and anyone who's ever felt like democracy is too complicated to navigate alone.
Every lunch & learn participant will unlock access to the following resources.
Every attendee receives a free digital copy of our resource guide — a blueprint for civic participation, packed with cheat sheets, definitions, trivia, and action guides for local, state, and federal engagement. Kinda like a playbook, gamebook, and textbook. But fun, short, colorful, and empowering!
Every attendee receives a guided orientation of the free civic-habit-building tools available at sparkcivic.org, including daily challenges, games, and the full Civic Quest.
Every attendee will receive exclusive access to SparkCivic's Civic Hotline. Text or email a real human at SparkCivic with any civic or ballot question (candidates, election dates, voter ID, ballot measures, how to contact a representative, whatever else comes to mind) and get a response within 24 hours.

Yes — always. SparkCivic is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and these sessions are offered at no cost to attendees, organizations, or employers.
Absolutely not. SparkCivic is strictly nonpartisan. We explain how ballots work, what different measure types mean, and how to find credible nonpartisan voter guides — but we never endorse candidates, parties, or positions. Our goal is to help you participate with confidence, not to influence how you vote.
Anyone!
Sessions are 30–60 minutes, held virtually via Zoom, Google Meet, or your platform of choice. We handle the facilitation — all you need to do is share the link with your team or group. Sessions include a presentation and open Q&A. Attendance can be anonymous; no one is required to participate vocally.
Our core session covers voting basics, how to read a ballot, what different measure and candidate types mean, and where to find credible information. During election seasons, we also offer ballot explainers for upcoming local, state, or federal elections. Just let us know what's most relevant to your group.
Yes! If your team or group wants a session tailored to a specific subject — for example, a certain ballot measure, or a race for one specific office — just mention it in your request. We'll tailor the content for each group.
The Civic Hotline is a text and email service available exclusively to people who have attended a SparkCivic lunch & learn. After your session, you'll receive access information. You can ask any civic question — ballot measures, candidate research, election dates, voter registration, voter ID requirements — and a real person at SparkCivic will respond within 24 hours. The hotline is nonpartisan and confidential.
The Civic Blueprint is SparkCivic's free digital resource guide — a user manual for civic participation. It includes cheat sheets, definitions, action guides, and explainers for local, state, and federal government. Every lunch & learn attendee receives a free digital copy.
